Much like Rumi’s poem The Guest House, your actual house is like a living, breathing expression of you. Your essence. A window into your soul. All of your ups and downs contained within rooms that witness each new arrival of your human experience.
My last home was filled with vintage art from a local flea market, a print of a painting by a tremendously talented black artist on Etsy, a podcast-inspired piece that encouraged sitting crooked and talking straight. Janet Hill’s gorgeous vintage-inspired art also adorned a good third of my house!
Truly, each frame contained a piece of me.
Some of that art will find a place in my next home, but I also want to add new pieces to my collection because I’ve changed so much since that last dwelling.
